Kart Racing League

KRL is a play to earn racing game with a female centric story. The King of Fiedelis gets abducted by an Evil King and now his Queen has to assemble an army of racers to race across several dynamic and magical lands to go save the King. She assembles a team of 5 elements to go save their leader.

My Role

- As a co-creative director, I've worked on establishing visual direction and storytelling for multiple digital collectibles, incorporating diverse art styles and themes in each project.

- Created concept art and prototypes to visually explain the look & feel of the projects.

- Created guideline documents including mood boards, characters and traits lists with rarity percentages.

- Conducted interviews and art tests to assemble an art team.

- Work with people across time zones and language barriers

- Manage and evaluate a team of artists in terms of their daily workflow to ensure consistency.

- Work along with developers and game designers to achieve the final goal of a visually good as well a fun game to play.

- Create marketing guidelines for the project and produce interactive posts and promotional material.

Each character is based on one of the 5 elements which gives them certain special abilities in racing as well as a unique kart.

Our aim was to make diverse and beautiful tracks for our audiences. We wanted it to be as colorful and fun as possible. Here are some pre-production concepts for some of our tracks.

Here we were working on the game mechanics of the race, we wanted to make sure it is fluid and fun for the audience.
